Screams would radiate through his head, along with the angry growls of a wolf before the howl of victory would waken the night. Smoke, light, blood, and pain all were felt as branches beat across his face leaving small scattered cuts over his flesh. A open door, torn bodies, a young girl and her mother. Weeping, blood, hissing of drawn blades, a growl an scream.
His eyes would suddenly shoot open as the familiar nightmare bombarded his sleep, as it has for many years. Looking too the woman at his side with feverish eyes it was hard too tell if he had screamed out in his sleep. Pushing up from the bed, he'd groan out in pain and would stumble too the bath, splashing water over his face. All of his muscles were buldged out grossly as if under constant pain, while his figure glistened with the sweat if sickness. Slipping into leathers, the cabin door would swing open only for him too fall into the leaves, stirring One Eye. Looking over the older figure would reach out for his help, though the older wolf would growl warningly. Darkness would take him, as he'd pass out beneath the stars.

Having arrived at the nearly full moon, the older man would have walked into the scared grove, before walking forward to place both of his hands on the rough bark of the tree, and then his scarred face to offer his thanks. Though some questions were asked, it'd be hard to tell if he ever got his answers. Having moved to settle beneath a tree, he sat there through the day, and into the next night when the moon raised the furthest, having scared off some of his company after an outburst, or having asked them to leave.
The constant thundering sound of the large waterfall would beat inside his head like a hammer, causing his hands to cover his ears even after having shoved some candle wax into them to help dull the sound. A loud growl would tear from his throat, as he'd feel an itching all over his body. Looking up to the first full moon, his eyes would turn to narrow slits.
What happened after that was untold, though if some could speak to the animals, they'd say that a large, black beast would've torn out of the grove, doing no harm to the sacred glade, before dissappearing into the night. Though it'd seem as if the beast had no control, it'd purposely avoided contact with most.
It'd head to the one place that it knew it would be accepted, home where he knew a worried Narebrith and older wolf would be waiting for him.

It'd seem that a more common sight in the glade these days were that of wolves, coming and going as they pleased. Though they were of all sizes and colors, two large dire wolves and one of snow white would frequent the grove. Ever watchful was the shrouded figure of Markus, seeming too speak too them through growls that would match each note of those wolves.
It wouldn't be often that one would see Markus outside training, the whistling of the large bastard swords cutting through the air with steadier hands. His feet would almost seem to dance, barely making any noise except to those with trained ears. And even as night fell he'd depart from the sanctuary goo all to watch over the nearby lands, though of late one may notice that he's been following a certain figure from a distance, watching the possible threat too his new family.

Throughout the silent nights too come it'd be rudely disturbed by the sound of howls piercing the air. Rumors have been floating that a large wolf with charcoal hair, would be wandering the woods. If one could stand too look into its glowing red eyes long enough qt night, they'd see the sparkle of human intelligence. Those whom spoke to the woods, animals and amongst others would be told that the large wolf is tracking down packs too challenge the Alpha males, though its unknown if he had succeeded to make a pack of his own.
In a fee instances instead of finding animal carcasses where wolves had fed, they'd see the shredded remains of a hunter, or pocher with the body of the wolf drug to its feet. It's obvious that hunting the smart beasts now would bring about the question, is it worth it?
Sights of the same wolf and others would be seen on the outskirts of the orc lands, never entering far since they didn't wish to stir more beasts within its deapths.

A large wolf would wander into the Sanctuary it has called home at the cabin just outside Silverhedge, it's steps only making sounds too the most sensitive of ears. Raising its head and arching its back an powerful howl would stir then silence the creatures in the woods. For slowly, one by one more howls would pierce the night sky, joining into the wild symphony of sounds. The new Alpha has returned and with the sound of crushing leaves, and dozens of eyes glinting in the dim light of the fire, so did his pack.
The tell tale signs of wolves in the area would be seen, marking their territory and protecting the sanctuary from any whom did not abide to its laws. All were welcomed whom entered with no intent on violence, any whom broke this rule, was chased out or killed by the pack, such was his laws, and they were unwavering.
